About Us
Friends of Oncology Kids is a Non-Profit Organization created in 1989 by Kevin & Laurie Jewell and our family when their daughter, Meagan, was diagnosed with Childhood Leukemia at the age of 4. Every year we host a dance to raise money for the BC Children's Hospital, and just recently started an annual golf tournament & poker night. To date, we have raised over $175,000 for the Hospital, and we're still going strong with high hopes for the future. Thankfully, Meagan is healthy today thanks to the BC Children's Hospital, and that is why we want to give back.
